NGOs play a crucial role in the welfare of cows, particularly in countries where these animals hold cultural, religious, and economic significance. Despite this, many cows face harsh conditions, including abandonment, injury, and inadequate care. At Sampoorna Jan Kalyan Samiti , we are dedicated to the well-being of stray and injured cows. Every day, countless cows wander the streets, suffering from hunger, illness, and injuries. These gentle animals deserve better, and that’s where our mission begins.
Cows, especially those that are abandoned or stray, often suffer from a lack of basic needs like food, shelter, and medical care. At Ek Parivartan Foundation, we have taken in over 1,200 cows since our founding, providing them with the care they need to recover and live comfortably. Our shelter currently houses 250 cows, where they receive daily meals, clean water, and a safe place to rest. Each day, our team responds to 10-15 rescue calls, bringing in cows that are in urgent need of help. Our dedicated veterinary team has performed over 500 surgeries and treated numerous illnesses, ensuring that these cows have a chance at a healthy life.
Helping stray cows individually can be difficult, but it can be done quickly by joining a volunteer group or an NGO like the Ek Parivartan Foundation. Our work at the Ek Parivartan Foundation is only possible with the support of compassionate individuals like you. There are many ways to get involved:
Together, we can ensure that no cow suffers needlessly. Join us in our mission to provide care and compassion to these gentle beings. For more information or to get involved, please visit our website or contact us directly. Your support is crucial to our success
In our society, countless animals like stray dogs and destitute cows roam the streets, often suffering from hunger, injuries, and neglect. It is our responsibility as humans to show compassion and provide care to these innocent beings who depend on us for survival.
Stray dogs are a common sight in urban and rural areas. These animals are often left without shelter, food, or medical care, struggling to survive amidst harsh conditions. Many face abuse, malnutrition, or diseases that go untreated. Despite their hardships, stray dogs can bring joy, love, and loyalty to humans when given proper care and attention.
Feeding Programs: Organize regular feeding drives to ensure stray dogs receive nutritious meals.
Vaccination & Sterilization: Vaccinating stray dogs protects them from diseases like rabies, and sterilization helps control their population humanely.
Adoption Initiatives: Encourage families to adopt stray dogs instead of buying pets.
Rescue & Medical Care: Establish shelters or collaborate with NGOs to rescue injured or sick dogs and provide timely treatment.
Cows hold a special place in our culture and environment. However, many cows are abandoned when they are no longer considered economically beneficial. These destitute cows often wander the streets, risking their lives by consuming plastic, getting hit by vehicles, or succumbing to starvation.
Cow shelters, or Gaushalas, serve as safe havens for abandoned and destitute cows. These shelters provide:
Nutritious Food & Clean Water: Ensuring cows receive proper meals and hydration.
Medical Care: Treating injuries, infections, or diseases under expert supervision.
Shelter & Comfort: Offering a protected environment where cows are safe from harsh weather conditions or road accidents.
Sustainability Programs: Utilizing cow dung and urine for eco-friendly products like fertilizers, biogas, and natural pesticides.
To make a difference for stray dogs and destitute cows, individuals and communities can:
Donate to organizations or shelters working towards animal welfare.
Volunteer time and resources to feeding and rescue initiatives.
Spread awareness about animal care, adoption, and responsible ownership.
Support local Gaushalas and participate in their programs.
Our treatment of animals reflects our values as a society. By taking collective action, we can ensure a compassionate world where stray dogs and abandoned cows live with dignity, care, and protection. Together, let us extend our hands to these voiceless beings and provide them the love and care they deserve.
Every small effort counts. Let us pledge to be their voice.
